More about the methodology of Influence>>
The philosophy of the Effective Selling Programme (ESP) is as follows: "Efficiency through simplicity", or, to put it another way: "The goal is not to sell but to make our clients easier to buy from us".
Developed by the founders of Sales interAction (UK), Steve Martin and Gary Colleran, the ESP methodology combines scientific research results with experience gained in sales development projects implemented at companies like GlaxoSmithKline, NIKE, Pfizer, Microsoft, AstraZeneca or British Telecom.
The ESP is an integrated sales system that can also affect the overall operations of organisations. Owing to the elements it comprises, the ESP is a "systemic" business tool. It includes training and leadership methods, guidelines to self-development, negotiation techniques and communication tools, e-learning solutions, and tools for the analysis of training and development programmes.
Discarding all irrelevant concepts, tips and tactics, the ESP is based on a simple and effective approach to sales. It communicates science-based principles and methods that are crucial to efficient sales operations and bring about effective changes in the relationship of the seller and the client.
Based on our experience we are convinced that the introduction of the ESP in Eastern and Central Europe - which first took place in Hungary in 2007 by GROW, the exclusive representative of the ESP in the country - may largely contribute to the sustainable development of the sales efficiency of the organisations competing in the already established market economy structures.
